    Vaser Liposuction
Today, traditional liposuction methods in liposuction surgery are being replaced by much more satisfying and comfortable techniques that require minimal surgery for the patient. Among these methods, Vaser liposuction is the best. VASER stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance.

    What is Vaser liposuction?

Vaser liposuction is today the most effective, advanced and modern liposuction method. It is mainly based on traditional liposuction, but uses ultrasonic energy (sound waves) during application to improve its effectiveness.

What are the differences between Vaser and conventional liposuction?
With Vaser liposuction, the fat is broken down by ultrasonic waves and sucked in with a liquid, so that the wavy surface seen with conventional liposuction is not visible. Unlike other methods, Vaser only targets fat cells and does not damage important tissues (connective tissue, blood vessels, nerves, etc.). It has much less pain, bruising and swelling compared to other methods. This allows the patient to resume daily activities more quickly. Vaser liposuction uses ultrasound to prevent damage to the removed fat and stem cells it contains. Therefore, it can be used to inject fat into other parts of the body as needed.

Who is Vaser liposuction suitable for?
If you have fat on any part of your body or face despite diet and exercise, Vaser liposuction is the ideal treatment. Indeed, your fat distribution can lead to an unbalanced appearance in some places. Local weight loss is often not achieved through diet or sports. Vaser liposuction can be used effectively in many areas of adults of all ages who have stubborn fat in their bodies.

To which areas is Vaser liposuction applied?

It can be applied anywhere unwanted fats accumulate. Some of these areas include the inside of the legs, the outside of the legs, the hips, the inside of the knees, the back, the abdomen, the hips, the chest, and the cheeks.

    • Adults at less than 30% of their ideal weight who have firm, elastic skin and good muscle tone
    • Healthy people who do not have life-threatening illnesses or medical conditions that can negatively affect the healing process.
    • People with specific goals in mind for body contouring
If you have excess fat deposits located anywhere on your body that don’t respond to diet or exercise, liposuction may be a good choice for you!

    VASER LIPOSUCTION FAQ

    • Conventional liposuction, which is based on fat removal principle, has been done using a cannula for years. Yet, Vaser Liposuction is a method in which even the smallest particles of fat are liquified and then removed using a special device. Vaser Lipo is a more special treatment; however, the key factor here is the patient’s body; if the fat ratio is low, and accumulated fat is concentrated in a specific area in the body, then the conventional method may be enough, but if a full body shaping is required, Vaser Liposuction is recommended. After fat removal with this technique, the patient will have a more muscular-looking abdomen.

It is generally recommended to stay in Istanbul for 8-10 days after the surgery. Depending on the amount of fat removed, a drain may be used, it totally depends on the surgical examination. If a drain is placed within the incision site, it will need to remain placed for 3 days, after a general examination on the 8th day, patients can return to their home country. It is generally observed that patients are able to return to their daily activities 8-10 days after the operation.  A special corset must be worn for a month after the surgery.

If done incorrectly, it may have some risks, however, if done well, there will be no risk. Thanks to experienced surgeons who are expert in human anatomy, the risk of complications will be low. However, the amount of removed fat must be within a certain limit since removing huge amount of fat may have critical consequences. If the surgeon is experienced and the patient’s BMI is within the recommended limit, then almost no complication is expected.
