    Liposuction
Liposuction, often referred to as “lipo” by patients, refines and reshapes targeted areas of the body by removing excess fat and improving the contours and proportions of your body. It is one of the most common plastic surgeries in the world. However, it should be noted that liposuction is not a treatment for obesity or a substitute for proper diet and exercise. It is also not an effective treatment for cellulite.

Which areas can be treated with liposuction?

    • Abdomen
    • Ankles
    • Buttocks
    • Cheeks
    • Chin
    • Neck
    • Hips
    • Lap
    • Thighs
    • The upper arms
    • Waist
    • Arms

Some patients prefer to undergo other surgical procedures such as abdominoplasty, breast reduction or facelift at the same time as liposuction surgery.

Who is a good candidate for liposuction?
    • Adults at less than 30% of their ideal weight who have firm, elastic skin and good muscle tone
    • Healthy people who do not have life-threatening illnesses or medical conditions that can negatively affect the healing process.
    • People with specific goals in mind for body contouring.
    • If you have excess fat deposits located anywhere on your body that don’t respond to diet or exercise, liposuction may be a good choice for you!
